Hi guys

Its been awhile.... Been busy.... been hammered with textbooks, journals, and more textbooks..... Tired is the only word I can describe my life as of now.

But the questions then is, is it worth it still? HELL Yeah!! I cannot picture myself as anything else than a Dr of Chiropractic. The road has been up and down and side to side, but I'm still here kicking :)

When I look back and see what I've accomplished, its pretty amazing, all the things I've learned and all the new people I have met, is just wonderful! I've also managed to cross the edge to a new decade of my life... 30.... imagine that aye, not old, just a bit more experienced.... I think tho that in my head I'm not older than 15, sad but true ;) To be humble is a virtue they say, and they are probably right! As a youngster I cant say I've always been humble, but by getting older and realizing that people are fragile and whatever we say will affect and effect people's minds and emotions. Most people of this world are not evil and most of us would never want to hurt anyone else, but it happens, its life! And life is not about being perfect its about learning from mistakes, failure is never fatal, its just another step closer to the goal!

"Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can do what others can't" (Unknown) I love that statement! Believe in yourself guys, and you will reach the goals of your dreams! I'm living mine now, and i must say I so much enjoy it :)

Hopefully we will talk a bit sooner the next time! Until then, I will share a picture with you, its from my Bodybuilding comp in Gothenburg. On stage 76kg, no drugs, clean!!! Why did I do this? Because someone told me it cant be done without drugs! I think they were wrong ;)

Perth World championships in Sailing

Hello! Long time no sea!

So what have I been up to? Well a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science is done :) and now its only 2 more years before I'm a qualified Chiropractor :) SWEET!!! My grades were excellent, even tho it felt like going through hell during the last weeks of the semester!

What else has happened? Murdoch University School of Chiropractic, has organized through FICS (Federation of international Sports Chiropractors), So we could give athletes treatment for various injuries or just check-ups. Ive been giving treatment to all the athletes (80 different nations) here in Perth during the tournament, its been very rewarding, the contacts Ive manage to preserve is totally awesome! I'm very happy with the outcome! I love treating athletes, its like tuning a race car, every thing you do in treatment is experienced straight away by the athlete!!! LOVE IT!!!! I had so many cool cases, and 2 of these will forever stick in my mind! Firstly a girl from Greece, a windsurfer. She came in to me with severe back pain, had huge trouble to even lay down, she had to call of her race and could not compete in the tournament, we at the medical center was her only hope to get back again, but she was very afraid that it was all over, all her preparations and hard work was gone.... When I saw her, and tested her out, I realized she had a hot disc problem, after the assessment and all the clinical tests, I started to give her treatment! Which was, adjustments, taping and Trigenics. The day after she was back on her board with no pain!!! I treated her 5 times more, and now I can gladly say that she qualified for the olympic games 2012 :). The Next patient is a guy from Denmark. He was a media guy, and he came in with almost the same problem as the girl, another hot disc! Gave him all my best and more or less fixed his issues! He have had disc problems before and he knows that if they are not taken care of, he is in bed for a couple of weeks! His fear was that if that happened he would not be able to work and lose a fair deal of money!!! What happened was that a couple of days later he actually manage to take the pictures of the famous sailer that got him disqualified from the tournament... Now its sad for the sport, but for the media guy its worth a huge deal of reputation and money! Now is my treatment part of this? Maybe it is, if he didn't have treatment he would probably not have been on the boat to shoot those pictures, or maybe he would have been!?? I thing is foreshore, I LOVE HELPING PEOPLE!!!

Some other random things is that I've had the privilege to set sail with the President of World federation in sailing, I got the chance to follow him during a day on the sea, his crew made it to such a good day! Free food, drinks and really close contact with sailing ;) Lets end up with some pics
This top picture is on the President of ISAF :) and Dr Deb Nook, just outside the treatment room

Me and the crew that day, to the right of me is the Danish Sports chiropractor Anette, she is def one of the coolest chiros Ive meet! Thank you Anette for all your support!

This foto is on me and Dr Brian Nook, when he is checking out my Greece windsurfer patient! Dr Nook is just phenomenal!!!

See you all soon again!

Gonstead

Hi all my fellow friends :) I just came back from Sydney, had an amazing time there :) The reason to why Mr Martin was there, was because of a seminar in the Chiropractic Technique "Gonstead" Which I have come to like very much!!!! its totally awesome, its so bloody hard to do and its very demanding as a Chiro, the reason to this is because you have to be so incredibly specific in everything you do, everything has to be synced to the ms!!! But if this is the hardest technique in Chiropractic, I want to learn it!!!!! Everybody that know me very well know that I love things that are hard and difficult and almost impossible ;) So now its practice practice and practice.....

I also got the chance to speak with Dr Alex Cox, he is about 80 yo now, he worked with Dr Gonstead himself, I just had to learn who Dr Gonstead was and he told me so much about him, he also told me that the technique Gonstead is hard in the beginning but after many years of training you will be ok and after 30 years of training you will be better..... hmm something tells me that I have a long way to go..... but i'm ok with that, coz this is such a awesome technique!!!!!!!! He also asked me "When I leave this earth, will you Mr Martin Isaksson, carry the Gonstead technique further and train Students like yourself" I told him that both him and Dr Gonstead will be proud!!!

Back to study again, I will leave you with a quote from a very wise man

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it" Buddha
